Though born in North Carolina, I spent most of my growing-up years in Tucker, GA, just outside of Atlanta. After a few church musicals, I had my first official acting-bug experience in 3rd grade, playing Marta in a local high school production of The Sound of Music. Since then, a love of performing has drawn me, through various seasons, to ballet, tap, voice lessons, choir, piano, writing songs, and eventually to a BA in both music and theatre. Simultaneously, my love for literature and a passion for all things British has led to an honors degree in English, a semester studying Old English at Oxford University in the UK, dramaturgy, writing and directing my own plays, and the soon-to-be-realized dream of becoming a published author: my first novel, Gatekeeper, is due out in the summer of 2009 under OakTara Publishers. After receiving my MFA from the University of Georgia in May 2009, I look forward to continuing the lifelong adventure of glorifying God by telling stories - through acting, writing, singing, dancing, teaching, and wherever else the road may lead! |
