I have been a professional improvisor for over a decade in addition to doing scripted theater. Moreover, I lost on Jeopardy!(TM), was on page 41 of the May 2002 issue of Maxim magazine, can say "Die, capitalist pig" in three languages, have been animated more than once and was featured as a character in a commercial that some nutjob blamed for weakening the fabric of the American family. Last summer, I won a Tinker Foundation grant to travel to Rio de Janeiro to study Theatre of the Oppressed with Augusto Boal. Since this trip followed my fourth gorgeous summer as a cast member of Improv Acadia (Maine's only professional improv theater), I spent most of this past year counting my lucky stars. Born with a persistent competitive streak, I spend my recreational hours trying to improve my 5K time. I also play the oboe, but I have yet to meet anyone who cares.
